Leaked BlackBerry 10 roadmap surfaces online

The “severely secret” road map for BlackBerry has been leaked online. The roadmap comprises of the anticipated release of the upcoming BlackBerry 10 smartphones. As all of us know, Research in Motion postponed the launch of the new operating system to 2012. And as per the leaked road map the initial two phones running the latest OS, the London, will be launched in Europe in January. After a month, it will hit the US markets.

In addition, the leaked roadmap states that 4G edition of the BlackBerry PlayBook will be launched this year. Also, a BlackBerry 10 variant of the PlayBook will be released in the first or second quarter next year. Then, a device known as Nashville will see the light of the day in the second or third quarter.

In Q3 next year, RIM’s 10-inch slate, code named ‘Blackforest’ is also anticipated. Apart from flaunting a 10-inch display, this device will supposedly come with 128 GB of native memory space. Lastly, the roadmap talks about the BlackBerry Naples, a new unknown gadget with a release due in the Q3 or Q4 in 2013. It’s rumored that the BlackBerry Nashville & BlackBerry Naples are QWERTY-enabled BlackBerry 10 handsets.

This is merely a leaked roadmap, hence, there’s nothing official about it. However, it’s great news for BlackBerry fans who are expecting a major turnaround for the troubled Canadian mobile phone manufacturer. We hope that RIM does not suffer from any other setback, and launch the all new OS successfully next year. What you guys think?
